I write about all sorts of things. Here’s a selection:

Copywriting

I love turning complex information into creative ideas that make sense. Into stories that people care about. Into action that creates change. Click here to see some of the projects I’m most proud of.

Books

I’m represented by Laura Williams at Greene & Heaton. I write funny and surprising love stories about relatable people and places that explore big issues. The road to potential publication is long and uncertain, but I’m so happy to be on it. Are you an aspiring author? I can provide a range of beta reading services and bespoke advice on seeking literary representation.

Anti-racist scripts

I always thought that caring about inequality was enough. But events in 2020 helped me to understand that caring is meaningless unless you turn your privileges into action. I decided to use my copywriting skills to compile an anti-racism resource.

Note: this is an open resource and free for everyone to use, share and quote from. No credit is necessary.

Published articles

I’ve written about film, the NHS and my family for the Guardian.

Speaking and training

During my career I’ve devised and delivered training sessions on speechwriting, media interviews, storytelling, tone of voice and brand. I’ve also featured as a copy and online content expert in an international FutureLearn training course and love talking about my varied career – and how it’s OK to change your mind. I’m passionate about diversity and inclusivity and have facilitated sessions on inclusive and accessible language.

Personal essays

After my children arrived, writing became the only way for me to figure out the startling shift from ‘me’ to ‘mother’. Since becoming a parent in 2015, I’ve explored trauma, anxiety, loss, overwhelm and shame through my writing. I also enjoy writing about TV and film.
